2. The Art of Shopping: Sales Racks

Here’s another deep dark thought I keep in mind before hitting the shops…

2. There’s a reason why things end up on the sales rack.

A. ) It’s the end of the season and next season’s clothes are coming. In short, palaos na. Chances are it’ll end up with still the tag on in your closet. Unless you want to save for the next time it comes around again, steer clear of anything that says “so last season!”

B.) It’s so ugly and horrific that no one else wants to buy them so they’re trying to get rid of it as profitably as possible.

C.) They might look OK but quadro-check inside and out if there’s any damage. For example, button(s), stitches, stains, cut, zipper…CHECK EVERYTHING!!!! There’s a chance they can’t sell it for the original selling price ‘coz there’s something wrong with it.

I’m not saying the sales rack is evil, in fact, I do get good deals out of it. I just want to make sure you get your money’s worth for real and a good deal, not just let the store thing you did.

1. The Art of Shopping

Every woman and man has his or her own deep dark secrets when it comes to shopping.  It’s fine time I get to share some of  mine! Before entering war, I keep the some dark thoughts in mind…

1.  Cheap is ok.  Imitations never.  I don’t look down on the thought of anything being from tiangge or even ukay-ukay (after sending it to a million trips to the laundry of course)  but buying a fake is a totally different thing.  There’s nothing worse than being labelled as a wannabe AND support the dirty industry of piracy at the same time.  Yes! It’s still piracy!  So say no to buying fake LVs or Lacostes or whatever.  Buy affordable stuff with good designs and be labelled as the one who’s good at great finds, not good at being a fake.

Hang on for the next dark thought Effin Ellie keeps in mind!

Yours not-so-truly,
Effin Ellie
